Cannibalistic emerged in December 2020, marking the start of a powerful new era in Christian metal. The vision began with guitarist and founder Alex, who had previously collaborated with vocalist Fred Garcia from the band Becoming Sons. While working on fresh material, he reached out to Fred, who eagerly stepped in to bring his signature vocal intensity to the project.

As their creative synergy grew, the duo decided to shape their sound into something heavier and more profound—leading them to establish Cannibalistic as a Christian metal band. The name, conceived by Alex, took on deeper meaning when Fred connected it to John 6:53: “Unless you eat of my flesh and drink of my blood, you shall have no life within you.”

Determined to complete the lineup, Alex reconnected with former bandmate Jerry Dee Ryan also from Becoming Sons & the band Saving Jackie after spotting his classified ad, inviting him to join without hesitation. Around the same time, bassist Joshua Sanchez of Hawaii’s death metal band Gorgos approached Fred about joining and with no formal audition needed, he became an invaluable member of the group.

The final piece fell into place when Alex recruited guitarist Gary Holdsworth from Behold Triumph, overcoming initial doubts to lock in the band’s signature dual-guitar attack.

United by faith and a shared passion for crushing riffs and relentless energy, Cannibalistic is here to make an impact—delivering heavy music with a message that resonates far beyond the stage.
