MEET CANNIBALISTIC
FRED Garcia
lead vocals
Alfredo “Fred” Garcia delivers a dynamic and powerful vocal presence to Cannibalistic with his signature blend of operatic cleans and brutal screams. A San Antonio, Texas native, Fred previously brought his intense vocal style to the aggressive Christian metal band Becoming Sons. Invited early on by founder Alex, he helped shape the band’s heavier sound and gave the name “Cannibalistic” its biblical depth by connecting it to John 6:53 — “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.”
Driven by a heart for ministry, Fred prays over every lyric, asking God to give him the right words to reach as many people as possible. Whether soaring with operatic melody or unleashing crushing screams, his vocals carry both raw aggression and spiritual conviction, making him a standout force in Christian metal.
JOsh sanchez
BASS
Joshua Sanchez brings over 29 years of live and studio experience to Cannibalistic as a core member. His playing is characterized by technical bass lines, articulate phrasing, and counterpoint melodies, paired with a distinctive bass tone that supports the band’s heavy and precise sound.
A multi-instrumentalist, Sanchez also performs on guitar, trombone, and keyboards, with a musical background spanning metal, rhythm & blues, country, southern rock, and funk.
From 2012–2014, he performed trombone with the Kashmere Reunion Stage Band, a Houston-based ensemble rooted in the Kashmere Stage Band tradition known for its funk-driven big band jazz sound. This large horn-driven format helped shape his sense of dynamics, groove, and musical interplay.
In 2016, while living in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, Sanchez was a member of Gorgos, performing live and opening for national metal and death metal acts. He recorded and arranged the bass lines for the album Klatau, which received a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nomination in the Metal category in 2019.
Guided by his faith, Sanchez channels discipline and purpose into each performance, using music as a vehicle for Cannibalistic’s message.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13

Alex Garza – Lead Guitarist & Composer for Cannibalistic
As the architectural force behind the sound of Cannibalistic, San Antonio-based guitarist and composer Alex Garza has spent years merging high-octane modern metal with profound scriptural depth. Since forming the band in 2019, he has served as the lead guitarist, backing vocalist, and primary composer, crafting a sonic landscape that is as heavy in its instrumentation as it is in its theological conviction
The name Cannibalistic serves as a direct provocation to the listener to look deeper into the words of Christ. Drawing from the foundational text of John 6:53—"Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you"—Garza utilizes the band as a vessel to explore the radical reality of the Eucharist and the sacrificial life of Jesus
Driven by a pursuit of the ultimate tone to match the band’s technical intensity, Alex utilizes a modern, versatile setup—including Neural DSP Quad Cortex, Fender Tone Master, Ormsby, and Kiesel guitars—to create a "wall of sound" that bridges the gap between extreme metal and eternal truth
Influenced by progressive metal structures and the raw aggression of melodic thrash, Alex weaves intricate riffs and progressive, technical structures into the Cannibalistic sound. For Alex Garza, the music of Cannibalistic is more than just performance; it is an unapologetic mission to challenge conventional thinking and point listeners toward the spiritual nourishment found in Christ alone
Following the 2024 release of the band’s EP Cannibalistic - Ascension, Alex is currently composing new material for 2026, promising to push the band's signature heavy sound into even deeper theological territory.
